If you look for reviews on Google, you’ll find page after page of sites singing the praises of this casino. Notice, however, that almost all of them are also affiliates, meaning that they get paid every time a new customer signs up through their site. Does that sound like a conflict of interest to you?
Slot Madness Casino Games Available
When I started writing this section on the games offered by Slot Madness, the first thing I did was scroll down to the bottom of the screen to see which software provider they were using. I was surprised to see the name “NuWorks,” as it’s not a common software provider.
NuWorks launched in 2011. They’ve yet to put up a company website to advertise their services. Let’s hope this latter detail changes in the near future, as I’m always a little leery of a company that makes its money online but can’t seem bothered to create even a bare bones information site. Shouldn’t that be a snap for men and women who spend their days writing code and creating casino games?
Despite my quibbles about their lack of online publicity, the software company has managed to avoid any major problems within the industry, and they’ve also received their own page at the CasinoMeister website (although it’s pretty barren at the moment). In addition to Slot Madness, NuWorks clients include Begado, BuzzLuck, and Lucky Club.
Owned by a Curacao-licensed company named Hastings International BV, NuWorks has used Realtime Gaming software as a template for their design. It’s no coincidence that Hastings also owns RTG.
Table Games
Slot Madness has 6 table games to choose from. They include:
- Baccarat – A risky game of chance featured prominently in early James Bond movies.
- Blackjack – Can you get closer to 21 than the dealer without going bust?
- Let’em Ride – Solo poker game where you win with a pair of tens or better.

The selection of table games could be more robust, as this number is below average for what I’ve seen from most casinos (Grand Parker, for example, offers 14). However, when you consider that the site specializes in slots, it makes sense that other areas of gaming might be a less. I would’ve at least liked to have seen European Blackjack offered because of its more player-friendly rules.
Video Poker
The selection of video poker machines is a disappointment; only the following three games are available:
- Deuces Wild – Two cards substitute for any other card.
- Jacks or Better – In order to receive a payout, you’ll need at least a pair of jacks.
- Joker Poker – A pair of wild jokers are added to the deck.
While these games are some of the most popular among video poker players, the low number is embarrassing. Bovada, by way of comparison, has 17 options for its players to choose from, and most casinos have somewhere between 8 and 12. If NuWorks wants to become a player in the business, they need to start picking up the pace when it comes to selection.
Slot Machines
There are a total of 41 virtual slot machines available at Slot Madness. However, given the name of the site and the reputation of NuWorks for being a leading provider of such games, I expected an even greater selection. There should be more than enough to keep most players busy, though.
The variety of themes is impressive and somewhat quirky, with such titles as Iron Duke, Judo Ferret, and Red Raiding Hood. The graphics and sounds are suitably crisp, and there’s the usual assortment of multiple paylines, wild symbols, and bonus rounds.

| Makes use of quite a lot of pictures and gifs to lighten up the site, espescially in sections like the Magazine. Also gifs in the menu sections. I don’t think the use of these pictures hampers the download time too much, but it’s clear that betandwin makes use of more pictures than other bookmakers tend to do. I don’t think iut’s too excessive though, as the reduced site speed I’ve noticed may very well be due to the heavy encryption of the site, and the database. 7/10 due to some annoyance over download speeds (although this may not be due to graphics !). |

| First of all: You have a lot of options about how to get to the events. You can sadly not view all odds in one bulk file (not very common, but would’ve been nice to see all soccer odds in one file, for instance). You can view “most wanted bets” (nice option), and the “last minute bets”, which are bets approaching deadline. Very nice. When you’ve opted for a game, or an event, you just mark it, and enter the stake. A window pops up, asking you to confirm the bet. Click OK, or Cancel. If you want to place combos, you just use the combo-link next to each event. Easy and understandable. You can even choose to bet with money, or Arena$, which is a currency which can be changed to the internet currency beenz (and the other way back). Arena$ can be earned trough various ways, but you usually get 50 or 100 Arena$ upon registration. You can change the Arena$ into beenz, and buy stuff at beenz.com. They could perhaps had an option where you get sent an email upon placing the bet. However, you can choose to get emails sent to you with the results of the bets you have made (or just your winning bets), by making changes in the “myAccount” section. I’d say they have a good and easy understandable bet procedure. |

| Judging by the look of their help section, Betandwin have really done their homework. Here you can find answers to almost everything you may need to ask about. So far they have impressed me with services like the Magazne, the calendar database (upcoming events), the Arena and Trivia quiz where you can win Arena$, and espescially the myAccount section, which is state of the art. As mentioned under the “Open account” criteria on the top of this page, you may change just about everything on the website. To further enhance their service level, betandwin are working on a WAP-supported website, and a site for PDA’s. As for the crew, I’ve not talked to them on the phone at the time of writing this. Contact info is easy to find on the site. Sadly the tend to set low limits on customers who win a few dollars, and this is a way of saying: “you can bet with us, but if you win, we only allow you to set a few pennies” !!! Due to the excellent features for changing details on site, and for setting personal preferences, I’ll suggest 6/10. |

| Bwin is a very accomplished bookmaker. But there are some weaknesses. One of them will have to be the odds scale which could’ve been higher sometimes. They could perhaps also offer a few more leagues (soccer). Another weakness is that for customers winning a bit, they will usuallly cut limits, so you are only able to bet rather small stakes after a while. Their service is excellent though, and the site is well designed and easy to navigate. Security is very high, and well taken care of, which is always ensuring for punters. As a punter you can change almost every personal setting on the site, and there are lot’s of “extras” on the site, like result service, trivia quiz,Magazine with sports news, etc. Bwin is a respectable and highly reliable bookmaker, listed on the stock exchange in Vienna, and they hold an Austrian bookmaking license. History, Location and Licence
Betfair was launched in the UK in 2000. It is primarily a betting exchange, although it acts as a bookmaker for its multi betting and Tote products. The service enjoyed a meteoric rise and in 2003 the company was a recipient of one of the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise (the UKs highest official awards for business). As part of its overseas expansions, Betfair commenced obtaining licences offshore, first in Malta and then in Tasmania in 2005, making it the only betting exchange to hold an Australian licence. In 2010 Betfair was floated on the London Stock Exchange and in 2011 it shifted its UK licensed service to Gibraltar to reduce its tax liabilities. In addition to exchange and Tote betting, Betfair offers casino and gaming services, however these products aren’t available to Australian residents.1
A unique feature of Betfair is its dual wallet system. Australian Betfair members are given two account “wallets”. The “Australian” wallet is used for wagering on Australian sporting codes and racing events, while the “Main” wallet is used for wagering on overseas sports and races. Wagers placed using the Australian wallet are regulated by the Tasmanian Gaming Commission while wagers placed using the Main wallet are regulated by the Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority in Malta. Both wallets use Australian dollars and members can transfer money between the two with just a few clicks.
Betfair’s expansion into Tasmania was initially met by resistance from the established totalisators and bookmakers. A ban on the use of betting exchanges took effect in Western Australia in early 2007, however Betfair successfully challenged this law because it violated the Constitution of Australia.1 In July 2012, Betfair increased its commissions on Australian racing markets to cover the fees it pays to the Australian racing industry.5
In August 2014, Betfair Australasia became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Crown Resorts Limited following the purchase of a further 50% of Betfair Australasia from Betfair Group Plc. Crown Resorts Limited had acquired the first 50% in 2004.7

What is a Betting Exchange?
Betting exchanges contrast with bookmaker environments because exchanges operate as a marketplace. Members set the odds for an event and others take up those odds. This enables the user to act as both a punter and bookmaker. Betfair argues that you get 20% better odds with their service than with standard bookmakers. In markets such as head to head betting this claim is often untrue, however Betfair offers by far the best tournament winner and correct score odds.
