We found ourselves with a pretty big dilemma when we first went to the Bodog88 casino. The graphics looked amazing, and the site was well laid out, but there was just one problem. Everything was in Chinese, and as worldly as we like to think we are, that was above our pay grade. We were left with what looked like an amazing site from the Bodog brand, but no way to review it.

That’s when we located what you will also need to locate if you want to experience the Bodog88 Casino (Spoiler alert: you’re going to want to). If you scroll to the bottom of any page on the website, you will see two flags on the lower right-hand side of the footer – the Chinese flag and the Great Britain flag. Unless you are fluent in more languages than we are, you are going to want to click the Great Britain flag, and the site will magically convert to English.

With a minor crisis averted, we were free to start digging around the Bodog88 platform. Our initial thoughts and feelings were great as everything looked to be laid out well and the graphics were high quality. They offered a multitude of slot options, table games, live dealer games and sports betting options that were all neatly organized from a menu at the top of the site.

The biggest thing that stood out to us right away besides the great layout was the quality of the slots games offered. This is by far the most branded games (games modeled after TV shows and Movies which are the most expensive for casinos to buy) and highest quality additional games we have ever seen. We’re talking Game of Thrones, Hitman, Jurassic Park, Nacho Libre, etc. The list is endless and seriously the best quality we have ever seen on an online gaming site.

This may be one of the highest rankings we’ve given in a long time or ever. The quality of the games and selections were enough to warrant this high of a score as they easily had the best games we’ve ever seen. Logistically speaking, the customer service and banking options were great and more than adequate to facilitate a great gaming experience. On top of all of this, the promotions department does the best and most creative job we’ve ever seen. Hands down, this is a must play for anyone looking for a new gambling home especially if you’re in one of the Asian markets.

Game Variety

If we could give them a 6 out of 5 or higher, we would. The game variety at Bodog88 is legitimately the best that we have ever seen, and we can promise you that we’re not just saying that. Check our other reviews if you want confirmation of that. A lot of sites will have a few quality games while the rest are filler, but Bodog88 has only quality games. This includes a ton of branded games like Bridesmaids, Game of Thrones, Jurassic Park and Tomb Raider.

They also have tons of table game options, live dealer games and a boatload of sports betting options for you to choose from. Bodog88 really hit it out of the park with game variety, and the quality did not slack at all as it does with so many other sites when they expand their variety.

Banking

Deposits and withdrawals were all fees free and super quick which was awesome to see. There were only two withdrawal options, which is not ideal. However, both options were free and would be to you within an hour, so maybe we’re exiting the world where we need a million different options. Regardless, the fewer withdrawal options still got a point deducted, though it may be a little harsh with how good the other options are. We just like variety.

Bonuses

Bodog has classically been known for having amazing and out of the box promotions, and Bodog88 delivers on this. They have some of the coolest promotions with some of the best prizes, and frankly, they made us want to put down our pen and start playing there to win some of this cool stuff. There’s too much to list in this short breakdown, but we’ve gone into extensive detail in the dedicated section below. Customer Service

They offered phone, email and live chat support that was easily accessible from anywhere on the site, and was available regardless of whether or not you had a player account or not. We tested the live chat and the agent was friendly, well spoken, and most importantly, helped us with our requests successfully. There isn’t much more to say about the customer service here; it is more than adequate and an easy five out of five from us.

User Interface

95% of the site looks great regarding user interface. The games are laid out and organized well, and everything you need is easy to find. The only reason that we docked a half of a point is that the sportsbook was laid out in a different way than we are used to. We’re definitely not saying it’s laid out in a bad way; it’s just different, and is the “industry norm.” To be honest, you probably won’t even notice the differences we did, but as you know, we are picky.

The sportsbook at Bodog88 is organized with six tabs across the top of the screen and a sports menu down the left-hand side of the page. Following the layout of most major sportsbooks, all of the odds and bets available are down the center of the page. The six tabs across the top are football, basketball, tennis, number game, virtual sports and eSports.

Our thoughts on the layout of the sportsbook were mixed. Everything looked to be very clean; the smaller font size of the bets made for a cleaner and easier to read feel. The part that was different for us was the sports menu along the left-hand side of the screen. The main sports were arranged the same as most sites, but when you clicked on the expand button on each sport, it was a bit different.

Most sites will give you a list of the leagues offering bets and allow you to select options that way. For example, if you were to click on basketball you would see NBA, NCAA, etc. as options. With Bodog88, though, bets are arranged by type. So when we clicked on basketball, the options were HDP & OU, Mix Parlay, and Outright. Whether this is a pro or a con is going to come down to personal preference for you. Personally, we prefer them arranged by league as that is what we’re used to. For those of you that like a certain bet type, this may be perfect for you.

For those that do want to bet by league, there is an option after you select the sport above the odds on the center of the screen. You can select “Select League” and choose what you are looking for. While this functionality is what we were asking for, it is a bit strange to have it there and not on the main menu to the left. Again, though, this is going to be personal preference, and even if you like it the “usual” way, it won’t take you long to get adjusted to this layout.

Next to the Select League button, you also have the options of changing the odds into a format that you prefer. Options include Hong Kong odds, Indonesian Odds, American Odds, Decimal Odds and Malay Odds.

The updating of the odds is a little different than some sites, and again, is going to come down to personal preference (or you may not even care about the fact this is any different from anywhere else.) A lot of sites will update the odds individually as they happen which will give you a fast-paced feel, almost like you are watching a stock market board change. At Bodog88, odds are updated two ways. With one, you have the option of manually clicking an update button on all the sports or the individual one that you are looking at. The second option is to wait, and they all update as a whole every 90 seconds.

The perk to this would be that things aren’t as “wild” looking as they are on other sportsbook pages. Again, some people will like this and some will not. They do flash the bets after updating to let you know that they have changed, but they don’t flash a specific color to let you know which way they changed. Other books will flash red or green around a bet to let you know if they went up or down. This is a feature we would really like to see them implement.

The slot offerings at Bodog88 were nothing short of incredible. We really wish we could set this review side by side with all the other ones we’ve done to show you that we are NOT just saying this. The game offerings here are really THAT incredible. They had a ton of branded games (more than we’ve ever seen online before) and the rest of the game options were insanely high quality. A lot of sites will have a few great games and then a lot of fillers, but zero fillers here.

All games were set up to play for free without creating an account if you want to try any of them out. As we always say, this is usually the sign of a site that is proud of their product. The only two withdrawal options available are Bitcoin and Bank Transfer. We would have liked to see more options here, but at least these two options were fee free. The minimum withdrawal is CNY100, THB100 and MYR10. You receive all withdrawal methods within 1 hour, which is pretty incredible. On one hand we would like to see more options, but the two options they give are fee free and lightning quick.

Surprise, surprise, the promotions at Bodog88 were extensive and creative. The classic Bodog brand has always been known for having some of the best and most exciting promotions, and Bodog88 definitely lives up to that expectation.

The premier program at Bodog88 is their Amazing Race promotion. The idea behind the promotion is that you earn miles (which are basically frequent player points) and the more miles you accumulate, the more “stops” you can fly to. Customer service options were great at Bodog88 with phone support, email support and live chat support. Support options can be found from the right-hand side menu of the site that follows you around no matter what page you’re on. This may not sound like a big deal, but it was nice to see that they offered live chat support without having to put in a username. A lot of sites will offer live chat, but you are required to put in a username to use it.

We tested out the live chat function, and the agent was well spoken and helped us quickly with our test questions. The site also has a well-organized FAQ section if you’re more into self-serve support.

The Bodog88 platform did not just meet our expectations, but exceeded them by miles. We expected a lot from a company under the Bodog brand, but they delivered even more than we had hoped. Regarding things we’d like to see improved on, we’d like to see a little different organization in the sportsbook as well as a few more withdrawal options, though, the ones they had were probably plenty.

Things we really liked were game selection as well as the amazing amount of branded and high-quality games, specifically in the slots and casino sections. A lot of major sites like to skimp on quality with the casino/table games, but Bodog88 has the best the industry has to offer. The promotions were probably reason enough to get us to play there as they had a lot of really cool prizes and a clear plan laid out about how you could get them.

Overall, Bodog88 is one of the best sites we’ve reviewed in a long time, and we highly recommend you check them out especially if you are in one of the Asian markets. Even if you aren’t, though, there is plenty to like about the site and plenty of reason to give it a whirl.
