Bovada Slots.lv Casino review

Slots.lv Casino has an interesting signup bonus offer for new players. On your first ten deposits, you can get $5000 in free casino chips. These are ten bonuses of $500 each. The bonus code for each of these is the same: HELLOSLOTS. The bonuses are pretty standard matching-style bonuses. You deposit $500, and you get $500 in bonus money.

Here’s a step by step guide to claiming this bonus:

  1. Sign up at Slots.lv casino.
  2. Make your first deposit.
  3. Enter the bonus code HELLOSLOTS.
  4. Start spinning the reels.

Signing up at an online casino like Slots.lv is more or less the same process as signing up for an account anywhere else online. You’re going to fill out an online form with information including your name, address, date of birth, etc. Some people might stress out about providing their birthday; my recommendation is to not worry about it. They just want to make sure you’re old enough to gamble legally.

Since Slots.lv is a sister casino to Bovada, they offer the same deposit and withdrawal options. I mentioned in that review that Visa was probably your best bet. If your Visa declines, don’t panic. You can try a Mastercard or even a Visa with a different issuing bank. Various banks process payments differently. Some ban anything that remotely resembles an online gaming transaction.

If you still can’t get your credit card to go through, try their “Fast Bank Transfer” option. It’s a wire transfer that processes faster than normal. Typical wire transfers take five days to process, but this “Fast Bank Transfer” processes in three working days. It’s a fast and convenient way to fund your online gaming account.

To experience all the games offered through Slots.lv, you need to download their software package. This only takes a couple of minutes on a high speed Internet connection. But even if you don’t want to download software, you can still play Slots.lv’s instant play games via your Web browser. These play right in your Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer browser.

Wagering Requirements

Like most Internet casinos, Slots.lv has wagering requirements. These are in place to prevent bonus abusers from taking advantage of the casino’s welcome bonus in order to guarantee themselves a profit. The slots bonus (the $5000 bonus offer discussed above), has a 25X rollover requirement. Only slot machine play counts toward fulfilling this wagering requirement. If you’re a slots player, then this is one of the better offers on the Intenet.

The table games bonus has a 40X rollover requirement, and wagers on the following games don’t count toward that requirement:

  • Baccarat
  • Craps
  • Roulette
  • Sic Bo
  • Single and Double Deck Blackjack

Here’s an example of how this works:

Let’s say you’re a table games player, and you deposit $500. You get a $500 bonus, so now your bankroll is $1000. Before you can cash out, you must make wagers of $40,000 total. Suppose your favorite game is Casino War, and you like to play for $20 per hand. That’s 2000 hands of Casino War. As you’re aware, you’ll win some hands and lose others. If you go to war on ever tie (which is the correct strategy), the house edge is 2.88%. Your expected loss on $40,000 in wagers with that house edge is $1152. So you’d have to get pretty lucky to show a profit after making that many wagers.

Other Casino Games

You’re not limited to slot machine games, although you could spend the next year or two trying all of them and probably not get bored. Slots.lv offers a full suite of traditional casino games, too. They categorize them in the following way on their site:

  • Table Games
  • Video Poker
  • Specialty

They also have a category for “New Games” in their menu, but those could be games of any category, including slots.

Table Games

Slots.lv lists the following as their “top” table games. I’m assuming this means that these are the most popular games in their stable:

  • Blackjack
  • Craps
  • Baccarat
  • Caribbean Stud Poker
  • Zappit Blackjack
  • Vegas Three Card Rummy

Usually when I write a review like this, I alphabetize these games, but in the case of this casino, it seems like they’re in that order for a reason–I’m assuming they’re listed in order of popularity.

Most of those games are pretty standard, like blackjack and craps. You should probably already know how to play either of those.

But a couple of the games are unusual and warrant discussion.

Zappit Blackjack is one of them. This is a blackjack variation in which the player has the option of zapping some of his cards if he has a hard total of 15, 16, or 17. When the player “zaps” those cards, he gets to replace them with new cards.

In terms of strategy, you should always zap any hand with that kind of total, with certain exceptions if you’re dealt a pair. In that case, splitting might be a better option.

The house edge on this game is excellent, especially if you play using correct basic strategy:

1.15%.

Vegas Three Card Rummy resembles three card poker, but the hands are scored from a rummy perspective instead of from a poker perspective. If you’re a fan of rummy, then you’ll probably enjoy this unusual variation. The ante bet has a house edge of only 1.96%, so this is an okay (if not great) game to play. The house edge on the bonus bet is 3.46%, which is starting to get a little higher than I’d like to see.

Video Poker

You’d expect a casino with a slots theme to offer a lot of video poker options. And Slots.lv doesn’t neglect these games at all. I always advise slots players to try switching from slots to video poker, as I feel like video poker offers several advantages over slot machines:

  • The payout percentage is better.
  • The games are more interesting.
  • You get to make actual decisions which can affect the outcomes.

Slots.lv lists the follow video poker games as their most popular:

  • Double Jackpot Poker
  • Double Double Bonus Poker
  • Jacks or Better
  • Bonus Deuces Wild
  • Deuces Wild
  • Joker Poker

Those are just samples, though, as Slots.lv offers a lot more games than just those. It just doesn’t make sense in a review of this nature to offer a comprehensive list of video poker games there.
