Bovegas review(LORIS)
The online casino industry is incredibly competitive. Several companies have managed to do what it takes to make it to the top of the heap, and then the rest of the operators are looking for their own small edge to make their businesses profitable. Sometimes all it takes is a special promotion or targeting a particular demographic by tailoring your offering to those specific players. And sometimes it’s just as easy to mirror a company’s branding and even make your name almost the same as the original (think McDowell’s in the movie classic Coming to America – Google it).
This is where we want to start our review of the new casino BoVegas.com. These guys are clearly trying to ride the coattails of the brand recognition of Bodog and Bovada, but does their offering compare? Have a read to find out.
As mentioned, BoVegas is a new entrant on the casino scene. Founded in 2016, the owners of the casino are not listed on their website. This is always a great frustration for me because it already makes me feel like the casino has something to hide. I am not one to let this go, so I did some further investigating and have determined that finding the actual owners of this casino is proving to be harder than hitting a Royal Flush at one of their Video Poker games. So, for the time being, I am not entirely sure who the owners are, but I also don’t care all that much.
BoVegas has a license from the country of Curacao, which is the equivalent of getting your Driver’s License out of a Cracker Jack box. It looks nice, and they can advertise that they have one, but really you as a player don’t get anything out of that aside from perhaps one place to start looking if you are having trouble getting paid by the site.
Restricted Countries
One nice part about being licensed in Curacao: there aren’t really any restrictions on where you can offer your casinos. BoVegas takes full advantage of this by offering their games for real money to essentially every country in the world. Here are the few exceptions to that rule:
- Belarus
- Costa Rica
- Israel
- Ukraine
If you don’t live in one of those four countries, then you are in luck! Feel free to jump on and get your deposit to BoVegas as you are in the clear.
Casino Design
These days, so many casino websites can get cluttered with horrible graphics, or loads of pop-up windows trying to promote a new offer, etc. I am happy to report that is not the case at BoVegas. I like the High Roller Vegas theme of the casino, featuring lots of red and black, and giving a very nice, clean look to all their pages. Admittedly this does make it look a lot like the Bovada theme, but I will say that there are lots of casinos with this style of website, so I will give BoVegas a pass this time.
The appealing thing about a website that is clean in its design is that it becomes much easier to focus on the promotions and games rather than wanting to move away from the site as quickly as possible.
Mobile Interface
As mentioned before, BoVegas is available for play on mobile devices, I tested their games on both Android and iOS operating systems and browsers, and found both to be very pleasing. The games all played with excellent speed as opposed to some casinos that have a lot of annoying lag. Also, there wasn’t anything lost in the way of graphics when playing the games on a mobile device; RTG continue to make improvements to their casino to make it mobile friendly, and in 2017 I believe this is where all casino software suppliers should be spending the majority of their focus.
Lack of Big Jackpots
RTG casinos have the opportunity to either run progressive games on their own system or tie their jackpots into the entire network of licensees. It appears that BoVegas has chosen to go on their own, and that leaves players with a less than stellar lineup of Jackpot slots titles. The largest jackpot I saw when I wrote this review was just short of $30,000. While this is nothing to sneeze at, I have seen jackpots in the hundreds of thousands on other RTG operator websites. It’s hard to say why BoVegas chose to go this route, but for now, we consider it a disappointment.
No Live Dealer Casino
RTG recently acquired a live dealer casino supplier, and it was assumed that all their licensees would benefit from this acquisition. At the time of this review being written, BoVegas does not offer live dealer games, and this again hits me with some disappointment. I love live dealer games – the dynamic is entirely different, and they aren’t nearly as cold as the video-only versions of the games. I am hopeful that this is coming along in short order for BoVegas and that we will see Live Dealer games there soon.
Game Selection
BoVegas takes advantage of the full suite of RTG games, meaning you get to choose from a very nice selection of slots, table games, and video poker variants. I noticed that not all the different slots titles and table games were available at BoVegas, and that left me wondering if the decision to hold back on other games was to use them as a marketing tool by releasing them periodically or just a restriction placed on the casino by RTG themselves.
Regardless of the missing titles, the quality of the games can still be seen, and there are loads of great games for you to choose from.

Table Games
I have to tell you, I love playing Blackjack. No matter what time of day or night, I can always find a little bit of joy when splitting 8s against a dealer 6 or when getting that game-changing double down win. I have played every casino software there is, and I like what RTG has to offer in the way of Blackjack variants, as well as their other table games. Here are all the games you will find at BoVegas:

- BoVegas rewards its players with a series of bonuses that start the second you sign up for your account. They like to put their bonuses into three categories, each of which we have summarized below:
Welcome Bonus
Currently, BoVegas is offering players up to $5,500 in welcome bonus cash on your first two deposits. This is split in the following way: 250% bonus up to $2,500 on your first deposit, and 300% bonus on your second deposit up to a maximum of $3,000.
While that might sound like an excellent bonus, the devil is in the details. These bonuses are Slots bonuses only, which means if you are table games player like I am, they are of virtually no use to you. This is pretty aggravating because these are the only two Welcome Bonuses available on the site.
Let’s assume you are a slots player and you want to take advantage of this offer. You should know that the wagering requirements for these Welcome Bonuses are 30x Bonus plus deposit. This means if you deposit $1,000 and receive $2,500 in bonus, you will have to make $105,000 in wagers to have met the requirement to cashout. The beautiful part of this bonus is that there is no max cashout, assuming you get that far.
Daily Rewards
BoVegas offers its loyal players a reason to log in every day with a series of daily promotions. The only catch with these promotions is that they only display the current daily bonus, not a full list of what bonuses are available each day. This forces you to come back to the site each day to see what your daily offer includes, which can be a huge turn-off to many players. I don’t really mind – if I am going to try to beat a casino with its own bonus, the least I can do is have to research it on a daily basis.

Bodog Sports reviews(LORIS)
Bodog.eu is based in Antigua and is open for business for Canadian players since 2009 and does not accept players from the US and the UK. US players can use the Bovada sportsbook.
Company History and Reputation
One thing Bodog has going for it in the competition to be the most popular sportsbook in the world is name recognition. The site has put a substantial amount of money into marketing which includes web ads plus TV and radio spots. All this familiarity and name-branding leads people to feel comfortable with the site and the Bodog.eu is a very popular sportsbook in Canada.
What happened to bodog.com?
In February 2002 federal prosecutors went after the Bodog.com website and four management personnel including founder Calvin Ayre on charges of illegal gambling within the US and money laundering. Ayre remains on the Homeland Security ’10 Most Wanted’ list and it should come as no surprise that American bettors are not allowed to register with the Bodog.eu sportsbook. Calvin Ayre has retired and has nothing to do with the bodog.eu sportsbook.
Just because U.S players aren’t allowed doesn’t mean Bodog is without one of the most streamlined and efficient web sites in the game. Bodog as a whole has been around since 1994 and they have maintained an A rating since September of 2010. The company is constantly upgrading their software to create the improve the functionality of their website, something regular players should reap benefits in regards to live betting.

Betting at Bodog
For all their software improvements Bodog still isn’t the easiest book to navigate. The site may have you ‘jumping’ around from category to category. That being said, all the available sports are located conveniently in a sidebar to the left after clicking on ‘Sports’ on the home page (included with Casino, Poker, and Horses).
There is no shortage of available events to wager on either with Bodog’s selection rivaling the best in the industry. In addition to the major North American sports the site also features basically every other event from tennis to rugby to crickets to darts to snooker to volleyball to Aussie football and more. Basically if there’s a competition Bodog probably has a line.
Those who love exotic bets will find the ultimate home at Bodog as their available wagers extend far beyond the realm of sports. Some recent props the site offered included ‘which Game of Thrones character will perish next’ and ‘what show will win Outstanding Drama Series’ at the Primetime Emmys. Bodog also features a number of political bets and is one of the rare sites to offer lines on video game competitions, or E-sports.
Sports that you want to bet on are instantly added to a betting ticket sidebar that presents the user options within itself. The bettor can choose whether it is a straight bet or continue through the site adding events to the ticket to make the wager a parlay. This is a nice feature as it allows parlays across multiple sports, many of which allow the bettor to buy points. One thing that’s noticeable is that Bodog is somewhat limited on the options they have within wagers such as alternate lines, or adding or subtracting points to get different odds.
Bodog Promos
Bodog is one of the “100% match” sites when it comes to deposits although the fine print reveals that is limited to $200 and only on the first deposit. There is also a 200% refer a friend bonus which is limited to $100. It seems that most of the promotions and rewards offered through Bodog lean towards their casino and poker rooms which feature almost daily specials.
Ease of Deposits / Payout Options
Although not eligible for U.S or UK players (ironic because of the .EU domain) there are a number of deposit options for their members. Bodog allows both Visa and Mastercard deposits including prepaid Visa cards which are nice for privacy and security. The other main deposit method is an instant e-check deposit. And the other option is an interac e-transfer which allows you to deposit from your personal chequing or savings account using Interac e-Transfer via online banking.
The top withdrawal method is actually via check ($3,000 CAD max per week) which are free once a month and usually arrive within two weeks. The other option is a bank wire ($9,500 CAD max per wire).
Bodog is a recognized icon in the landscape of online sportsbooks and since the site is focused on Canada, it should be a top option for all Canadians. While the site can be clunky at times the sheer volume of sports and exotic wager options available make a Bodog account a must-have. They won’t give you the best betting options within a game, but the variety of games and sports should make up for that.

Bwin sport review(LORIS)
Bwin is one the largest gaming companies in the world. They have business interests in both regulated and unregulated markets and offer players online sports betting, poker, and casino gambling all from the same account.
Bwin Interactive Entertainment, formerly betandwin.com, was established in 1999 out of Austria. It operated in over two dozen markets and had over 20 million registered users.Bwin merged with PartyGaming plc in March 2011.
PartyGaming has a long history in online gambling pre-merger. The company was founded in 1997 with the launch of an online casino, the Starluck Casino. They are most famous for their online poker platform, PartyPoker, which was a pioneer in online poker markets, and still operates today. After the merger had been completed, it was opened to the public. 48.4% of the stock was owned by existing PartyGaming shareholders while the other 51.6% by former Bwin shareholders.
In September, 888 Holdings and GVC Holdings, two gaming companies got into a bidding war to acquire Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment. The company confirmed that they accepted the winning bid of £1.1 billion on September 4th, 2015. The transaction was completed on February 1st, 2016.
GVC Holdings plc is headquartered in the Isle of Man. It was initially founded in Luxembourg in 2004 as Gaming VC Holdings. They are publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange under the symbol, GVC. In addition to acquiring Bwin.Party, they purchased long time British bookmaker, Sportingbet. The Government of Gibraltar licenses Bwin and they regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commission. They are also licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission.
Bwin and Party continue to operate as separate brands. Neither .com site currently accepts American residents. However, Party Poker through a partnership with the Borgata casino is licensed by the New Jersey Division of Gaming to offer online poker and casino games to New Jersey citizens.
A Personal Opinion On Bwin Sportsbook
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT BWIN
Although their reputation isn’t squeaky clean like some online bookmakers that have been around since the turn of the century or longer, they are still one of the safest bets to be paid in online betting markets.
Bwin’s betting options are nearly limitless. They rival (or exceed) some of the UK’s largest bookmakers when it comes to number of markets and sports offered. Pre-match and in-play betting options are both plentiful, but the company seems to be heavily focused on live betting.
Although they have pulled out of several grey markets, Bwin might be the most international bookmaker around. Their web page is fantastically designed, and better yet, it’s translated in over 23 different languages.
WHAT WE DON’T LIKE ABOUT BWIN
The biggest complaint we seem to come across online with Bwin is their support. They are much too large of a bookmaker to have shotty support. Instances like this one, should not be happening with a bookmaker that is a top rated shop at some sportsbooks. We’re not saying they’re a bookmaker that you should avoid because of this issue. It’s just something that bettors need to be aware of before deposit. Their service staff, on the whole, still seems above average.
Strangely, they don’t have 24-hour support for any of their mediums. That seems like an oversight on their part considering their size. They have to be the largest gambling site online by a large margin without around the clock support.
They have a few offers, similar to Paddy Power’s ‘Money Back Specials’ but they don’t appear to pack quite the punch that the Irish bookmaker brings with their promotions. There is doesn’t appear to be any VIP program or point redemption program for sports betting, but there is one for casinos and poker.
Their odds are just so-so. In this market, that can be killer. There are a lot of sites to visit before you head over to Bwin. Their markets aren’t necessarily sharp, but their over-round is higher than most bookmakers. Although, their in-play odds do seem to be a lot more competitive.
Nevertheless, there must be some inefficient markets worth attacking because Bwin has a reputation of cutting the betting limits of winners rather quickly. There are countless threads online about Bwin limits players to a maximum of £50 or their currency equivalent. They also have a rather low maximum winning amount, especially consider the size of scope of their operations.
